Welcome Race Fans! Senior Education Ministries, Inc. Is proud to join you to present the danger, the drama, the roar of the engines and action packed excitement at our 4th Annual (Midwestern) Fraud and Scam Awareness Seminar & EXPO for Senior Citizens.
Our annual seminar this year will take on a racing format designed to rev’ up your engines and have YOU RACING IN FROM ALL OVER THE MIDWEST to get you in gear to protect the seniors for the ride of their lives. Grab your gloves, your headsock, helmet, and firesuit and get ready to race to protect our seniors as we take you to the Superspeedway at the ISU Hulman Center on May 18, 2010 from 8am-4pm.
Continuing a longstanding American tradition that dates back for many years, once again we’re looking for the daring and heroic figures that have been around the track a time or two to sponsor and aerodynamically protect and serve our rookie seniors.
The race is about to begin….The flagman will wave the green flag promptly at 9am and the pace car sponsor will signal the start of the event by introducing from the home of the Indianapolis 500: Indiana Congressman Brad Ellsworth who will give the opening address and proclamation for Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!
You as pit crews, benefactors and sponsors will join the following professional drivers: Master of Ceremony Legendary Racer Bob Harkey; Mayor Duke Bennett, Abigail Kuzma-Director & Chief of the Consumer Protection Division from the Attorney General’s office, Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita (or representative), Secret Service; Vigo CountyProsecutor Terry Modesitt and US PenitentiaryWarden Helen Marberry who are:
“Driven to E…. ….Race” Frauds and Scams.”
There will be NO charge for our guests to spend a day at the races. Pit crew (non-sponsor) will not have to pay as well, but will be requested to bring a door prize for the senior’s to win. All Pit crews and Sponsors racing to success will be requested to set up their racing themed “pit stop” on 5/17/2010 so they can meet us at the starting line and spend the entire day “on track” on 5/18/10. As always, this event to honor our seniors during Older American’s month will include food, door prizes, extraordinary performances and brilliant artwork courtesy of the Vigo School Corporation students.
We need your support in the WINNER’S CIRCLE as a SPONSOR* to help SIGNAL caution and steer the seniors to get help when scammers are dirtying their path, and get off the track immediately to prevent a WIPE OUT!
Sponsorship money will be used to help defray costs for advertising, food, decorations, grounds set up/tear down, etc. Advertising/feature articles are planned for WTHI, Tribune Star, Older Living, Senior Life, Local radio stations, etc. We hope to surpass last year’s attendance of 2211 seniors and know that with your help, we can double that number in 2010! Don’t let this event, race by….Put your pedal to the metal ….On your mark, set, Go!
